BRFs for short.
I just wanted to dedicate an entire blog to Julie Hagerup! Now, friends, don't feel left out or unloved if I don't write one about you... not that most people read this anyway.
Julie's just amazing. Let me give you some background. This summer, I went to Arlington, Texas, for a little over five weeks. About two days after my arrival, Julie arrives, as well, and is my roomie! We lived in an apartment, and our roommates came and went (very special people, too, I might add) but Julie was my ROOMmate. We shared that cute, little, white, plain room with two mattresses on the floor and a dresser. Good thing I brought pictures of all my friends from Camden to liven up the space! Anyway, back to Julie. God knew what He was doing when He put us together, and honestly, I believe that Julie was one huge way that God answered the prayers of my friends/family back home. My first few days there were really overwhelming, but building friendships with my team and roommates truly encouraged me and reminded me to trust God's unfailing love.
So, here's to you, Julie- a list of reasons why you're incredible.
1. You let me debrief each day, and sat through my crazy long prayers.
2. During those debriefings, you shared with me, too, as well as encouraged and taught me.
3. You always played your guitar! I enjoyed that so much.. for real.
4. We shared ice cream and pineapple (not together, of course).
5. You always try to stay in touch! I appreciate that so much, especially since I'm horrible at returning phone calls, texts, etc. Over the past two weeks, I've probably missed my end of the deal about seven times.
6. You know my friends by name and are Facebook friends with most :)
7. You haven't sent me my Christmas present. This makes me happy because it doesn't make me feel guilty that I haven't mailed yours yet, either.
8. You read my blog without me asking ;)
9. You always have great finds in the bins and can sing that Birfday song like no one else.
10. You are my sister in Christ! Every time I think of you, I'm encouraged by your faith and how you supported me in Arlington. You are so transparent, honest, and real. I remember your desire to want God, even when you didn't feel like it. God is growing you and using you tremendously! when you realize it or not.
This is probably out of context but,
Ecclesiastes 4:9-10
Two are better than one because they have a good return for their labor. For if either of them falls, the one will lift up his companion. But woe to the one who falls when there is not another to lift him up.
I love you!
